They surely don’t look good for my Thursday Trim The Fat but they are so yummy! Thanks to @Perpstu who found The Pancake Puffs™ in her post entitled Who Wants Breakfast?
I just could not resist. I might dislike cooking but I sooo love baking! And I must say, I have not been baking much except for some chocolate chips muffins when JAG begs for them… I think it was well over 9pm last night when he started his session of “I want muffins”… lol
I baked a few custard tarts when I went back to see my children, and yes, well the tarted lasted on the bench approximately 5mn before being all eaten! And of course I made my “donuts” a few times because everyone asked for them, but that’s about it for baking.
And I so love my baking gadgets… I had them all… I collected them all… My favorite was probably my breadmaker which I used to use a lot for making bread at first but then figured out there was so much more you could with it. I bought my first breadmaker about 10 years ago until it died on me and I was lucky because the same one was still available but updated. It was not the cheapest one but it lasted 10 years and being used almost once a day.
Now obviously I have to be a bit more careful with baking as it is not as easy to keep the weight down… but on this one I just could not resist.

I did the basic recipe for now but I have all the ingredients to try out other recipes from the booklet. So easy to do but need some get used to it in turning The Pancake Puffs™ over. I would not do them if I was in a rush as the first batch was not completely cooked in the middle. So on the next batch I used a very low heat, nearly to a “simmer” temperature, and that was ideal. Icing sugar was enough for me – I forgot we had whipped cream in the fridge- but JAG preferred his Pancake Puffs™ filled with chocolate pudding.
The Pancake Puffs™ pan is very well worth the small investment. Visit The Pancake Puffs™ Official Site.
